Astro is the main character of the Astro Bot series and serves as the captain of his ship’s bot crew. A brave and adventurous robot, Astro will stop at nothing to rescue his crew and bring them safely back. A few months ago, Sony issued a free DLC (downloadable content) for “Astro’s Playroom” that connects the previous game with the new one. Since all PS5 consoles come with “Astro’s Playroom” for free, it’s more than likely that “Astro Bot” will become a big hit for Sony.

Astro Bot Has One Of The Year’s Catchiest Soundtracks

I can see that when I find a cardboard standee in a construction site level. I poke my head through it, only to summon a flock of pooping pigeons. There’s no tangible reward for doing it as it’s not a tracked collectible; it’s just a purely entertaining moment that gets an honest laugh out of me.

Astro Bot fans will gain access to five more DLC stages over the coming weeks, with new levels arriving weekly between February 13 and March 13. You will have plenty of opportunities to break up Bot Walls as you’re upgrading the Crash Site, but if you’re at the end of the game, go to the entrance of the Ice Temple. This is unlocked after completing the Serpent Starway galaxy and requires 90 Bots to build a Bot Wall anytime you want to enter the Ice Temple. Repeat this at all four slot machines in this area (including the one to the far right where you can find a Rescued Bot!) to unlock the Time to Cash In! There is a second set of Tripcaster wires in the clearing with the Tallneck. Irritate some ground-bound enemies into following you, then hop into or behind the square enclosure (yes, there’s enough space for you to stand between the wire and the rock).

The game is very streamline I would have thought no way I am missing this stuff lol. In addition to new levels, Sony as part of its June State of Play announced a new limited-edition Astro Bot DualSense controller, one with a slightly different expression from a previous Astro Bot controller. That controller is still not available for preorder, though Sony said it will launch later this year and that it would have more information to share soon. It wouldn’t be an Astro Bot update without new Special Bot cameo appearances, and now we know a few that players can discover.

But if the studio creates something too different from what came before, then it may not be met with the same acclaim. As part of Update 1.016, the game has added a new level called Armored Hardcore, which focuses on Astro Bot’s Iron Suit ability. In addition to the new platform-heavy level, players will have a new cameo bot to rescue and can earn a new Trophy called Rolling Rescue to fill out their collection. Following the release of the first set of speedrun-style DLC levels, many fans were wondering if Team Asobi had anything else planned for the popular game.

You won’t find the first bot for a little while in this level, so proceed past when you get the chicken and first lift the platform out of the ground. Unfortunately, the future is a bit uncertain for Astro Bot, as Team Asobi hasn’t revealed what’s next after this DLC pack. [newline]Considering the popularity of the game, it’s easy to assume more DLC is on the way, though as of now, nothing is official. What fans do know is that Sony has been thrilled with Astro Bot’s reception and performance. In fact, Sony announced more games like Astro Bot are being planned, expanding its family-friendly offerings.

Suck up all the ice blocks and head inside the tropical oasis to find the disco ball. Activate it to use the secret exit and unlock the Turtles in Trash level in the Lost Galaxy. The secret exit in Frozen Meal is near the very end of the level, before you jump off the platform to fight the snowman. Push through two walls in time to reach the secret exit, which will unlock the Rocket Pull Power level in the Lost Galaxy.

I never thought i see the day push square giving a ps game a 10 score .. Based on what NK88 had seen I knew this was going to be a banger but a 94 on metacritic sheesh. Won’t be surprised at all if AB wins though which is great for Sony!
